User and Group Management UI

Usage monitoring

These are available on the home page that displays the number of individual users of the current months. These numbers are extracted from the logs every night.

You may access more detailed usage numbers and plots by clicking on the user number.

User

Adding a local User

  • Use the Add User in the Core > Users page

Generating/Delete or block tokens or API keys

  • Go to the Core > Users page and select the user
  • Use the Create api token in the action list and clik Go
  • The token is echoed at the top of the page; you may check it again under the Core > Tokens

Editing groups and roles

  • Click on the user to modify under theCore > Users page
  • Reflect changes in the form and save

Sending email to multiple users

  • Go to the Core > Users page and select the users (you may filter on e.g. the group name)
  • Use the Send email to selected users in the action list and clik Go
  • Write the email using the provided template

Group

In LabID, all the datasets registered in LabID are stored under the Data folder of a group's LabID data library. The group LabID data library is reflected by a Storage volume. For detailed information on configuring and managing these volumes, please see Managing Storage Volumes.

Each group must have at least one primary Storage volume, this primary volume should rather be located on a safe storage e.g. with automated backup and/or RAID redundancy
