Timestamping¶

The time stamp service of the DFN-PKI (DE) is used to certify the status quo of a file at a certain point in time by a trustworthy instance. This is useful for legal reasons, as this gives proof of intellectual property to authors.

Every note and their attachment gets a timestamp as explained in the picture below.
