Read more below, see video tutorial (~1min)
- List page search (and filters)
- Search through all items in a single collection, accessible on list pages. Read more on interactive tables search
Site-wide search¶
Site-wide search means that you can search through all items across all models. For this, just use the search bar in the application top menu bar. The search bar is also available on the landing page.
This global search is based on the names of all the objects created in LabID.
Search results overview¶
Let's do a search on query term «GFP» and hit enter. We land on the search result page. The search results are organised in a list with a four-column display.
At the top of the list, the total number of items that matched the search query is displayed (710), as well as the number of currently displayed items (15).
Each result lists:
- The category it belongs to
- Item's name
- Description (if available)
- Owner of the item
- Last modified when and by whom
At the bottom of the list, the button Show 15 more results allows you to load
more items. The items will be appended to the current list.
Search in a single category¶
The search can be restricted to a single category using the dropdown below the search input. Below we display the search results for «GFP» restricted to the category «Specimen».
The detail page for a search result is available by clicking on the item name.
